As a family with deep roots in Marengo County, this Tuscaloosa family loves visiting rural Alabama on weekends. Their hunting camp in rural Marengo County sits on a 30-acre pond and is an ideal place to rest and relax while watching the wildlife enjoy the serenity of the Black Belt.

This home started as a 2,200 square-foot cabin, which needed more space with the growth of new generations of their beautiful family. After construction and renovation of a 1,700 square-foot existing home with a 500 square-foot exterior covered porch, the 5,000 square-foot under roof home is the perfect respite for life away from the big city.

We incorporated a special touch with the rocks that the owner brought us from his farm in North Alabama. Our mason shaped them into a custom fireplace, which is a highlight of the home.
